requirements of shooting in Asia Pacific, and once we partner you in
a project we will quickly and efficiently deal with all the legalities of
a shoot on your behalf.

Malaysia

For entry into Malaysia, no visas are required to citizens of British Commonwealth countries (except India), British Protected persons, and citizens of the Republic of Ireland, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, San Marino, Switzerland and the United States (for social, business or academic purposes only). No visas are required for stays not exceeding three months for citizens of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Luxemburg, Norway, South Korea, Sweden, Tunisia, USA,
France and Germany (except for local employment).



Immigration and Customs

Visitors must be in possession of a current passport that has a period of validity of at least six months beyond the time of stay allowed in Malaysia.

Note that non-prescribed drugs, weapons, pornography and any cloth bearing the imprint or reproduction of any verses of The Qur’an are prohibited. Drug smuggling carries the death penalty.



Work Permits

All foreign shoots in Malaysia are required by law to commission a local production house for their assignments, and all foreign production personnel must have work permits. The application of the work permit normally takes 2 to 3 weeks. In order to expedite the work permit application, the following information and documents are required:

  1. passport photocopy for each of the crew;
  2. 4 passport-sized (colour) photographs of each of the crew;
  3. a letter from your company to commission us as your local sponsor;
  4. the script or storyboard for the shoot;
  5. designation and resume of each crew member.
